This weekend, I played in the Memorial Day Weekend Tournament. Last year, I made the team as well, and we got second place.

This year, we had a game on Friday and Saturday, and then two games on Sunday. This year we went to the championship game again, but this year we won!!!!!!!!!!

I scored the winning run in the championship game.

My baseball team hasn't won a game yet this season, but on Saturday we won!!!!!!! We beat the Royals 10-2.

I'm glad we didn't have to lose all of our games

In science, we are learning about animal classification, like why a monkey is called a monkey and a human is called a human. We are also learning that things you think are plants, could really be an animal, which is true for a lot of the underwater invertebrates.

Take mushrooms for an example (this is for Sage), they may be a tasty to treat, but they are also a living organism (fungi), before we cook them.

Who likes mold? Nobody. It grows on their leftovers and spoils food. Really, they are just using your leftover food to grow and stay alive.

Last example. Everybody has at least one sponge in their house. Most of them are artificial, but some are actually dead animals. If you find a live sponge put it in water, you might be able to see it moving. This is because the sponge eats little tiny plankton in the water. It uses its holes to suck water in it, then he lets the water out and catches the plankton, then eating it.

Pretty cool. Huh?

A couple days ago, our toilet at school overflowed. There was water everywhere.

The water got most of the backpacks wet, but mine survived. (yeah!!!!!!!!)

The school got it cleaned, but sometimes it still smells weird.

On sunday, my baseball game, got cancelled because the fields were to muddy. On monday my new backpack came in the mail. My school teacher is getting married, so we're going to have a different teacher in 3 weeks.

6th grade is sort of hard. It's pretty fun though too. We don't have a boy and girl bathroom, but we have a history and science bathroom though. This year we get to have lunch with the seventh and eighth graders, they pretty much ignore us. In our classroom we have a statue of a nose and a thumb. The nose's name is Norman The Nose and the thumb's name is Mr. Thumb or Tom Thumb.
